Betsy nació en Arizona, sus raíces catalanas y norteamericanas han influido en su actividad artística, pero vivir en México desde 1977 le ha marcado de manera total, pues ha conocido la música de Lucha Reyes, de José Alfredo, de Agustín Lara y demás, y de ellos ha obtenido parte de su éxito, sin dejar de lado su estilo único de cantar.

Pachelbel fue un destacado organista (principalmente) y también clavicembalista y compositor, autor de numerosas composiciones para órgano, suites, variaciones y cantatas corales. Se puede mencionar la influencia que tuvo sobre Bach, al ser amigo de su padre, Ambrosius Bach. A pesar de su gran talento, tras su muerte fue olvidado hasta después de varios años.
